From the Heart: Proposal Testimonials

I hired Lydia to capture my surprise proposal to my girlfriend (now fiancé) as well as a day-of engagement shoot at a second location. She was extremely responsive and professional throughout the process and displayed a great deal of flexibility with date/time/location, which changed a few times leading up to the proposal. She was even able to accommodate a same day second location switch as the first location became impractical due to large crowds. The photographs were sensational. She captured all of the emotions of the proposal and was able to put together an amazing album of same-day engagement shoots. I would recommend Lydia to anyone looking to do a proposal or engagement shoot in Cape Cod. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and had some amazing recommendations for locations. Couldn't be happier with how the photographs turned out, and now my fiancé and I have memories captured that will last a lifetime.

I hired Lydia to capture my proposal to my fiance and it was a great choice! She is located in Cape Cod and was able to come over to Chatham Bars Inn to capture the moment. Outside of just taking photos, she helped me game plan a scenic beach location as well as a couple back ups, just in case. Her communication leading up to the proposal was perfect- letting me know exactly where she would be waiting. After the proposal, she had a few locations to do additional pictures and did an amazing job capturing an important day. Beyond that, she was quick to share our pictures (24 hours later, the full gallery was online and ready) so we could share with friends and family. 5 star experience- highly recommend.

Lydia was excellent! I was lucky enough to find Lydia on a google search for my last minute planning. My girlfriend and I had a trip planned to Cape Cod (Chatham area). I had planned on proposing, but did not have a exact place picked out since I had never been and did not have a photographer scheduled. I reached out to Lydia, she was quick to provide her availability and assisted in picking a good location for the proposal. She took a ton of great high quality photos and promptly sent them within a day or two of taking them. She's good at blending in too for a surprise!

FAQ’s

Don’t worry — I’m a pro at being discreet. Even in open areas like Cape Cod beaches or boardwalks, I’ll blend into the environment with a zoom lens and a casual look (think: tourist with a camera). You won’t even know I’m there until after the “yes!”
-
Turnaround time is 4 days (or sooner)!

There are three different packages available. The first package includes coverage of the question only, which lasts about 2–3 minutes. The second package includes the question and then 10–15 minutes of additional photos afterward to celebrate. The third option includes everything from the second, with the addition of a custom linen album and wall art to preserve the moment in print.
Typically, a separate engagement session is booked later — once she knows it’s coming and can plan her outfit, nails, and the overall look she wants. This keeps the proposal candid and stress-free, while still giving you gorgeous portraits to share and frame.
-
Absolutely! Whether they’re hidden nearby to witness the moment or join afterward for a group photo, I’m happy to coordinate a plan that includes your people. Let me know what you’re envisioning, and we’ll make it happen.

Cape Cod weather can be unpredictable, but I always try to be flexible. If rain rolls in, we’ll adjust timing or location as needed. If rescheduling is the best option, we can bump it a day.

As soon as you know you’re proposing, it’s best to reach out — especially for summer and holiday weekends on Cape Cod, which book up quickly. I recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance, but feel free to check availability for sooner dates! I always try to accommodate a last minute session and can even book two in one evening. Always reach out!
